You will learn basic flat felting in the morning and then 3 dimensional in the afternoon. Contact Unwind to register though if you need any information don’t hesitate to contact me. Look forward to doing some felting together!!
Here are some photos of the most recent indigo workshop at ARTiculations. Again, thanks to Heather and Miki and to the women who spent the day with me playing with indigo – Sarah, Lauren, Marie, Sandra and Kim !!
Ann Wylie-Toal invited me to her studio in Flesherton (south of Owen Sound) to teach a felting workshop and as usual, such a great group of creative (yes you all are!!!) people! Some had driven all the way from the London area! You can see by the photos that they worked hard all day and made some wonderful pieces. Thank you Ann for hosting and participating and thanks to all the people who came and made it a wonderful day!
This last one is Ann being silly after a long day of felting and wearing her tea cozy on her head!
It was a fun day!
Thank you so much Heather Phillips at Articulations for hosting an indigo workshop. It was a wonderful time with a group of hard working and very creative people.
Here are some photos of our time.
For some time I’ve wanted to have some open studio time where people can come and experiment and/or get instruction in different felting techniques. So I’ve finally be able to plan some time! Hurray! Saturday Feb. 22 I will have my studio open from 9:30 (I’m not a morning person) till 5 and Tuesday Feb. 25 from 7 till 10. The cost will be $12 for the evening and $25 for the whole day. I have supplies here that you can purchase (please let me know if advance so I can make sure I’ve enough), you can bring your own or a combination! Please let me know first of all, if you’re coming and secondly if you’re hoping to do a nuno felted scarf as I’ll need to plan space. Hope to see you1
Another bad weather day so an intimate workshop with Cate and Elena.
This is Elena’s first piece before felting
This is it felted – possibly a cushion cover?
Here is Cate’s felted piece
She thinks she’ll make it into a clutch purse – look at that wonderful edge!
For the second project in the afternoon, Elena made a tea cozy and Cate made a hat for a friend’s little one (have to wait for the felt to dry to fold up the brim)
It was a delightfully creative time in the midst of a very snowy day. Thanks ladies!
This is for all you last minute people. Just a reminder that there are a couple of places still available for the felting workshops I’m doing at Unwind Yarn House on Main Street in Newmarket. Contact Unwind http://unwindyarnhouse.com/ for more information or to sign up. There will be another one March 8 if you miss this one!
The morning is learning to felt so you will be able to make this cute purse or another flat felted piece
The afternoon session we will be doing 3 dimensional felting – hats, tea cozies …
Hope to meet you there
